Something You Might Not Know 6 - Enhanced Tactics

Enhanced Tactics (ET) is one of the most important stance every player has when pioneering in the new world. It greatly provides a boost of both offense and defense to the team. But not all ETs are created the same, somewhere along the line, after the release of characters after characters, characters with ETs are created with various subtle tweaks.

I have compiled these subtle differences below out of curiosity and as a reference when choosing which is the best when assembling a team. I will be giving an explanation to various terms and my conclusion afterwards at the bottom of the page.

But before that, let me start by saying that I recognize that choosing your buffer does not lie solely on the buffer's ET but it helps to know these things to be able to design an optimal team.

All of the information is taken from the second successor of Wordwood: ge.sytes.net.

Something You Might Not Know #5 - Channeling, Charging and Charged Skills

The release of patches and premium characters few episodes ago have introduced new skill mechanics in Granado Espada. Starting with the Bryan with her Seismic Wave and Pulverize skills to the recent modifications of old skills like Occult Magic's Breath of Fire and Electric Bluster in Baron's Pledge where they retroactively modified several skill with these new mechanics. These skill differ in how damage and effect is dealt and in the interest of clarity, I have borrowed terms from other games and have unofficially called them channeling, charging and charged skills.

Trance Robo Mechanics (Overbleed)

In commemoration of DelKreuz's recently closed website, I have reposted in my opinion one of his most useful guide. It contains information on making Viki's robots more "imba" although I am not sure if all information are still accurate.

Something You Might Not Know #4 - Dump of the New World

Warning! Improper handling of this information may result in the permanent lost of your items.

Initially started as partial bug of Katovic questline, it became a hidden game functionality useful for those who want to keep their inventory optimized. I am talking about Ryrin's Heart located at the Frozen Plain E6. You can drag any item including premium items except for quest item into Ryrin's Heart and it will be lost permanently. Even though it asks the quantity of items to be dropped, it only takes one at a time so it may take a while to get rid of bulk items.

The Symphonia patch also addresses the Ryrin's Heart by adding it to Trade Password Protection functionality and as a side note, the shelf besides the "Rescue Knight Material Administrator" also functions like the Ryrin's Heart but was fixed in a later patch. This adds to the legitimacy of Ryrin's Heart as a de facto trash bin for undiscardable items since it wasn't fixed along with it.

As of Orden patch, it no longer works. It may have been removed because of huge potential for bugs.

Something You Might Not Know #3 - World Return Sheet

A very recent discovery that I was kicking myself for not knowing earlier was the new functionality of the World Map (Alt + W) that enables warp functionality to any major towns. It was included in a recent patch which revamp the Colony War System giving each colony and town a strategic advantage.

By clicking any of the towns outlined at the image above, it will consume a Warp Scroll (when out of town) and warp you the corresponding town instantly. It is a great time and space saver for those who likes to hop in each town and too lazy to go to the Waypoint or those who have it saved in the Warp List. It is restricted by warp cooldown but it doesn't have any countdown, thus very useful for quick escape to town.

Gloriosa Conquista

As a commemoration of my new adventure in another world, I have compiled links to every guide I have used/remember on quests for Granado Espada. As I will be doing it all over again, I can attest for their usefulness through this journey even if some quests have been revised over time.

Something You Might Not Know #2 - Divine Bless

Regeneration has always been a neglected part of Granado Espada. With potions being dirt cheap (up until you need the expensive ones) and easy lifesteal (even sp regen on hit a while back), regen can be ignored completely. While you may spend your whole game lifespan not concerning with regeneration, it is actually an integral part of raiding for tankers and flyers although this topic is more about a specific type of improved regeneration called Divine Bless Level 12.

It is not a big secret but actually rarely used by many is a wonderful thing that happens when you buff yourself with Divine Bless Level 12. It grants regeneration even on knockdown and flying stances. It is also very useful when tanking on Protection Field and Invinsibility as these skill prohibits item usage. It might not look like a big thing but it actually does make life very much easier specially for tanking and flying particularly the triple Whole Cancellation teams.
Divine Bless is a skill from Tactical Assistance Stance mostly for supporting characters including the generic Scout, Emilia, Elisa and Soho. It increases HP and SP regeneration albeit minimally it is still very useful for raids or pvp where potions are disabled like the World Cross PVP. Elisa's Therapy can also buff Divine Bless not only to the team but also the whole squad with the Demental and Dephysical skill.

Divine Bless Demental Dephysical

Unconfirmed: There are also pets that provide regeneration equivalent to Divine Bless Level 12 although I'm not sure if they provide the same benefits. And even though it is unrelated to Divine Bless mechanism, there seems to be an anomally when you try to compare damage to characters with the same total defense where one is using Protection Field and the other one isn't. Protection Field seems to provide more protection than just additional 80 defense as advertised. This can easily be tested by equipping high DEF armors against low DEF equip with Protection Field but I'm too lazy to try it.

P.S. There are 97 days to go before Christmas at the time of this post, thus the snow theme.

Something You Might Not Know #1 - Target Information Window

Since I haven't been able to post anything lately, I thought I would periodically share some bits of Granado Espada tips and tricks that some players may not know about. I'll try to post something like this on a regular basis as soon as I come up with an idea worth sharing.

First up is the Target Information Window. Some may not know that aside from monster name, level and race, it also tells the monster's armor type whether it's soft, light or heavy. This is specially useful for Elite Brestia and Large Caliber users to easily and quickly identify a target's armor type and switch to the appropriate weapon. For example the figure below shows a Level 129 Light armored Daemon named Jurgen's Follower.

The three armor types also apply to players where robes and coats are considered soft, leather armors are light and metal armors are heavy armor type.

Soft Armor Light Armor Heavy Armor

A good mnemonic to think about is that heavy armor is the metal looking gray one with rivets around it assiciated with heavy machinery, the light armor is the bronze one with pattern that looks like the rays of the sun which is also associated with light in luminescence and the soft armor type is the one with the cross patterned stitching associated with soft clothing.

Unconfirmed: Since raceless objects in the game commonly associated with colony, gates and destructible objects have an armor type, it may be possible to inflict more damage to it with weapons enchanted with an option that grants additional damage for a specific armor type. It might be possible for weapons like Elite Brestia and Large Caliber Rifle to increase its damage to raceless type units although I haven't had the chance to test this idea myself.

Arma Bendita de Armonia

The Armonia series are weapons and armor originating from Armonia. Made from the metal Harmonium which can be found throughout Armonia, its original purpose was for the crusaders to combat the Abyss. With the rising darkness, pioneers must equip themselves and once again prepare for the Holy War.

Unlike the Elite Brestia weapon series, the Armonia weapon series once again can contain racial enchantment but no Trigger nor ATK Rating enchantment. It can also contain Penetration and Status points. It can also be temporarily blessed that grants additional effects. The Armonia armor series on the other hand grants a default 5% attack type damage reduction depending on the type of armor and can also again be enchanted with DEF Rating option but no Trigger.

The Armonia series can only be equipped by High Masters, can be enchanted with Expert Enchantment Chip and preserved by Impervium: High Master.

Censo Familiar

The family represents your game presence replacing the convention of having a single avatar. The family can consist of many different members which can be recruited throughout the game. Up to three characters can be controlled at a time and can be any combination of the family's members. Each character has his/her own attributes and story. The family shares everything be it experience or items working together for the family's different exploits.

The Barracks

Also known as the quarters, it represents your family's homestead and acts as a roster before entering the world. Each barrack can hold up to nine members of the family. The player can unlock additional barracks and have a maximum of eighteen barracks. This means a family can consist of a hundred and sixty-two members. You can also manage your equipment and form teams at the barracks among other things.

The Family Level

The family level represents the overall quality of the family. Each member's level corresponds to points which is calculated to produce the family level. A higher family level gives more benefits to the family's attribute. Each unique character will have a 20% bonus to its point. The character with the highest level will be given the bonus points. A Family Level Calculator is available in the Pioneer's Daily Memo.

Alquimista Desesperación

Alchemy is a game function useful for transforming useless miscellaneous items to useful ones. At the right time and strategy, you can even gain profit from it. Alchemy can be done at the Alchemy Table which is accessible in Byron right besides Veronif. You will need three distinct alchemy material which is graded from 0 to 5. The alchemy material's grades are added to form the total alchemy grade. Higher alchemy grade means better reward. An additional payment in vis can payed per transmutation to increase the total grade by one.

Most of the information below are taken from Jupath and DelKreuz. I just want a consolidated view for my own use.
